I absolutely loved the show. I’m not much of a reader but I decided to read the books since they canceled the show. I’m about of a quarter of the way through the first book. I’m kind of shocked at how different it is and I’m honestly not finding it all that interesting.

Am I correct in the differences I’ve listed below (spoilers)?

1. Tak has only been on ice for 8 years.

2. Quell and Tak aren’t close (or even know each other personally)

3. Tak doesnt seem to be nearly as knowledgeable or quite as skilled

4. The envoys are just a branch of the UN military and not revolutionaries.

5. There doesn’t seem to be any fight against unlimited life.

6. Raileen either isn’t his sister or he knows she’s alive and doesn’t seem very close to her.

7. Poe is Hendrix? Lol

8. It really seems like the book is just about the Bancroft investigation which ties in to the Elizabeth story and will probably tie in to Raileen’s business but compared to the show, it seems kinda basic.
